Building Services & Plant Noise

Noise from building services, air source heat pumps, air handling plant such as Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) units and other noise producing equipment can cause disturbance to occupiers of a space, whether in their homes, places of work or leisure.  Noise will be transmitted via the air directly, or otherwise via ductwork or other paths, to the occupant.

AIRO can assess design proposals to determine the likely noise level inside a given room due to mechanical plant, or other, equipment.   Where designs will lead to unsatisfactory noise levels inside rooms our experienced consultants can propose solutions that will reduce the noise to satisfactory levels.

If compliance measurements are required once the systems are installed on site we can carry this out.
